MINIMALLY INVASIVE SPINAL SURGERIES
In today’s environment, we do not have the time and resources to be absent from work for extended periods yet we like to remain healthy and functional. Therefore, MANA’s focus is to treat patients with these goals in mind. Patients are treated whenever possible with minimally invasive techniques for all procedures especially when it comes to spine. We apply this method to simple problems like a disc herniation to large operations like lumbar fusion, thus maximizing the benefit of surgery in minimal time. The latest techniques are used to achieve these goals.

ENDOSCOPIC SPINE SURGERIES
Even though not always possible but under appropriate circumstances, an endoscopic spine surgery can be performed without much trauma to the normal tissue thus providing expedited recovery and return to normal activities. This technique can be applied to: Lumbar disc herniation lateral and farlateral, open surgical rhizotomy, lumbar foraminotomy and decompression and treatment of lumbar discitis.

VERTEBROPLASTY AND KYPHOPLASTY
In elderly, the compression fractures of vertebrae can be a serious and debilitating problem due to deformity and pain. The surgical intervention in these patients is usually due to the advanced age and corresponding medical conditions. Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty are techniques available to treat the pain and disability of these patients in a minimally invasive way without blood loss or stressing their frail constitution.

DISCOGRAM OR PROVACATIVE DISCOGRAPHY
After all conservative treatment has failed and the source of pain in the spine is not readily obvious e.g. due to multiple disc involvement, the discogram comes as a handy tool. In this procedure, under sedation, a small caliber needle is placed in the cervical or lumbar discs under Fluroscopy and then the patient is awakened. Intradiscal pressure is measured by injecting more dye and the patient is asked to respond. What they are experiencing is typical pain thus localizing the source of the pain.

CYBERKNIFE OR FOCUSED RADIATION
When surgical resection is incomplete or not possible then a state of the art radiation treatment available to us is Cyberknife. This is a computerized method to deliver radiation treatment to the tumor without damaging healthy tissue.

SPINAL FUSION
Spinal Fusion is the technology used when indicated due to spinal instability. We utilize reliable and cutting edge instrumentation to stabilize the spine in order to relieve back and neck pain.
